"How the song came to be"?


I feel honesty, anxiety & genuine love to share the “Why’s It All a Game Though” with the world. After a rocky few years, this song is about letting go of the remaining toxic ties in my head & reconnecting with what matters most, family & friends & a more loving side of myself.

The idea came during a transitional phase of a dark dilapidated time in my life while settling into a place of forgiveness for myself & those who've caused me harm in the past. At one point I decided to work with some toxic artists that tried to drag me into ‘rap beefs’, I had to make the decision, ‘play the game’ ‘end the game’, or do what I have done, take space to own my craft & remember why I'm doing this. I think you can hear this for those who know me.

I make art & I live what I write. This is why I took the opportunity to finally get my family & friends involved. People I could trust, nothing too complex, just a family portrait & ‘family dinner’, wholesome sort of vibes man.
